Mental Health & Wellbeing

At The Winstanley School we recognise the significance of Mental Health and Wellbeing on our young people. We are all aware that positive mental health is key to believing and achieving and we are committed to ensuring that an ethos of positive mental health is at the heart of all that we do.

We have a Mental Health and Wellbeing group that meet fortnightly. This consists of a trained counsellor, DSL, SENDCo, Lead Head of year and Assistant Head Teacher Behaviour and a Mental Health Practitioner who has previously worked for the NHS Mental Health Service.

Concerns in regards to our young people’s Mental Health and Wellbeing are always taken seriously and action is taken immediately to address any concerns that are raised.

We work in partnership with young people, their parents, carers and other agencies. If you have any concerns surrounding your child’s Mental Health and Wellbeing do not hesitate to contact the school who will support you in whatever way possible.
